NEW YORK (AP) - Perfume and cosmetics company Inter Parfums Inc. will design and manufacture a line of bath and body care products for sale in New York & Co. women's apparel retail stores, the companies said Monday.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
Inter Parfums Chairman and Chief Executive Jean Madar said the initial product line will be available in New York & Co. stores in late 2007 or early 2008.
Under terms of the agreement, New York-based Inter Parfums will be responsible for product development, formula creation, packaging and manufacturing. New York & Co. will market and sell the line.
Shares of New York & Co., which is also based in New York, rose 9 cents to $15.29 in after-hours trading, after dropping 55 cents or 3.5 percent, to close at $15.20 on the New York Stock Exchange. Shares have traded between $9.41 and $17.66 during the past 52 weeks.
Inter Parfums shares rose 3 cents to $20.61 in after-hours trading, after dropping 11 cents to close at $20.58 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
