-Alstom up 4.50 eur or 4.44 pct at 105.88 following an upgrade to 'overweight' from 'equal-weight' by Morgan Stanley, with a raised price target of 130 eur from 87.
-Michelin up 3.09 or 3.49 pct at 91.59, trading at all-time highs, after reporting 5.5 pct growth in Q1 sales and confirming guidance for a 'tangible increase' in FY sales and operating margin. Merrill Lynch confirmed its 'buy' rating on the stock and raised its price target to 110 eur from 100 eur.
-Societe Generale up 3.52 or 2.36 pct at 152.50 after banking stocks were lifted by news of a counterbid for ABN Amro from the consortium led by Royal Bank of Scotland.
-LVMH up 1.57 or 1.84 pct at 86.70 after exceeding expectations with its Q1 sales, which included 13 pct organic growth. Subsidiary Christian Dior added 2.11 or 2.28 pct at 94.60 in its wake.
