FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - The German government took 1.6 bln eur in funds through its nationwide semi-truck electronic toll system, a 10 pct increase from the same period last year, reported Focus magazine, citing members of the government's Ministry for Commercial Transportation.
Since implementation of the system in 2005, income raised through truck tolls has increased from 2.9 bln eur in 2005, to 3.1 bln in 2006, to an estimated 3.3 bln for the current year.
