HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Lianhua Supermarket Holdings Co Ltd, the biggest supermarket operator in mainland China, plans to strengthen its partnership with French retail giant Carrefour, the South China Morning Post reported, citing Lianhua's chairman Wang Zhi-gang.
Lianhua's joint venture with Carrefour, which operates 11 hypermarkets on the mainland, will be expanded 'step by step', Wang said.
He did not elaborate on what other forms of cooperation the group is contemplating with Carrefour.
