(AP) - States considering legislation barring teenagers from using electronic devices while driving:
Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, South Carolina, Virginia, Vermont, Washington and Wyoming.
States that have passed laws:
Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia. (The laws in Colorado and Maryland are secondarily enforced -- drivers must be pulled over for something else before an officer can cite them for cell phone use.)
