CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Food maker Campbell Soup Co. said Thursday it will realign its North American business by combining several divisions into one to simplify its management structure.
The company said its U.S. soup, sauces and beverages retail businesses, North America foodservice and stockpot and the business in Canada will now be one organization known as North America soup, sauces and beverages.
The three business units in the new group had sales totaling about $4.5 billion last year, the company said.
Denise Morrison, 53, has been appointed president of the new business, Campbell added. She previously served as president of Campbell USA.
The company also said Mark Sarvary, executive vice president and president of Campbell North America, will leave the company.
Campbell shares rose 1 cent to close at $36.29.
