SYDNEY, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Australian stocks are seen opening
mildly firmer on Monday after investors picked up beaten-down
stocks on Wall Street on Friday.
December share price index futures rose 0.6 percent or 24 points to 4,148 in after-hours trade, a 96.7 point premium to the close in the physical S&P/ASX 200 index on Friday when the market fell 2.4 percent.
Australia's central bank publishes its latest statement on monetary policy at 11.30 a.m. (0030 GMT), with housing finance data for September due at the same time.
Chemicals group Orica releases its full-year results.
New Zealand's benchmark NZX index was up 0.9 percent at 2,815.8 in early trade, finding some lift after the country's centre-right National Party scored a decisive win in Saturday's election. ----------------------MARKET SNAPSHOT @ 2109 GMT ------------
