LIMA, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Peru posted a current account deficit of $1.03 billion in the third quarter versus a $500 million surplus in the same quarter a year ago, the central bank said on Friday.
The current account deficit was equal to 3.2 percent of gross domestic product.
The country posted a public-sector fiscal surplus of 1.5 percent of GDP in the third quarter, down from 2.1 percent of GDP in the same period last year, the bank said.
Peru's economy, which expanded some 9 percent last year, is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.
