WASHINGTON, Jan 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee has set a hearing for Jan. 13 on priorities for the incoming Obama administration and the use of funds under the Treasury Department's ongoing $700-billion financial bailout fund.
Known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, the fund so far has been committed to injecting capital into distressed banks, and assisting troubled automakers and insurer American International Group Inc.
The hearing had previously been set for Jan. 7, but was postponed. The committee did not announce who will testify at the rescheduled session.
