* U.S. Sen Max Baucus, a Montana Democrat and chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, says goal is to draft an economic stimulus package 'probably' Within a couple weeks.
* Baucus says final stimulus legislation likely to resemble what is being discussed at this time.
* Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says Democrats understand 'economic peril' facing United States and want to do everything possible to cooperate with the incoming Obama administration.
* Reid says Democrats will caucus again on Sunday to discuss economic issues and an economic stimulus package.
* Reid says 'we're in the process of working through' different views in developing legislation.
* Reid says members of Senate Appropriations, Finance committees will have greatest input in developing legislation.
