KIEV, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Ukraine is ready to take all steps to ensure that Russian gas flows to Europe, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said on Saturday in opening remarks to a meeting with a European Union delegation.
'We are ready, as we go into this meeting, to take all political and technical steps so that Europe receives gas,' Tymoshenko said.
Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek was in Kiev seeking agreement to allow an inspection group to monitor flows of Russian gas through Ukraine. He had received signatures for such an agreement in Moscow earlier in the day.
