WASHINGTON, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Boeing Co is receiving a U.S. Air Force contract valued at up to $3 billion for 15 C-17 military cargo aircraft, the U.S. Defense Department said on Friday.
Congress approved $3.6 in funding for the acquisition of the 15 planes as part of a fiscal 2008 supplemental defense spending bill funding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
