NEW YORK, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Marathon Petroleum Corp cut runs at a fluid catalytic cracker at its Texas City, Texas, refinery, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality on Wednesday.
The run cut to the gasoline-making unit happened after a sulfur recovery unit at the 72,000 barrel-per-day refinery was forced shut due to a pump malfunction, the company said in the filing.
The Texas City refinery has a fluid catalytic cracking capacity of around 44,000 bpd.
