LONDON, June 14 (Reuters) - Britain recorded its first death from H1N1 flu after a patient suffering from the disease died, British broadcasters said on Sunday, citing a statement by the regional government for Scotland.
A spokesman for the Scottish health ministry was not immediately available for comment.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared an influenza pandemic on Thursday and advised governments to prepare for a long-term battle against the virus.
