HOUSTON, July 1 (Reuters) - West Coast gasoline prices
dipped on Wednesday after a government report showed an
increase in regional inventory, traders said.
Unleaded, ethanol-blend July CARBOB finished down 1.25 cents from Tuesday's finish in the Los Angeles market after sales at 9 cents, 8.75 cents, 8.5 cents, 8 cents, 9.5 cents and 9.75 cents per gallon over August NYMEX RBOB, which was down 4.3 cents at $1.8590 a gallon.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday that West Coast gasoline stockpiles grew by 900,000 barrels last week to 29.5 million barrels.
In the San Francisco market, CARBOB for July moved a half-cent further away from L.A. at 4 cents under the southern California market.
August L.A. CARBOB fell 1.75 cents to 9.25 cents over September NYMEX RBOB gasoline.
L.A. CARB diesel lost 1.5 cents in a deal at 4 cents per gallon over August NYMEX heating oil, which fell 2.2 cents to $1.7657 a gallon.
Distillate inventories were unchanged last week at 11.7 million barrels on the West Coast, according to the EIA.
Jet fuel in Los Angeles fell 1.75 cents in a sale at 5.25 cents over NYMEX heating oil.
In the Portland, Oregon, market, unleaded gasoline fell 1.5 cents to an offer of 2.5 cents over NYMEX RBOB. Ultra-low sulfur diesel was up 0.25 cent at a 6-cent offer over NYMEX heating oil.
