ECONOMIC INDICATORS:
The Labor Department releases the June employment report, 8:30 a.m. (1230 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast 363,000 jobs were lost in June compared with a loss of 345,000 jobs in May. The unemployment rate is seen at 9.6 percent, compared with a 9.4 percent rate in the prior month.
Labor Department releases first-time claims for jobless benefits for the week ended June 27, 8:30 a.m. (1230 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast a total of 615,000 new filings compared with 627,000 in the prior week.
Economic Cycle Research Institute (ECRI) releases its monthly future inflation gauge index for June, 9:40 a.m. (1340 GMT). The index read 79.8 in May.
Commerce Department releases May factory orders, 10 a.m. (1400 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey expect a rise in orders of 0.8 percent compared with a 0.7 percent increase in the prior month.
Economic Cycle Research Institute (ECRI) releases its weekly index of economic activity for the week ended June 26, 10:30 a.m. (1430 GMT). In the prior week the index read 117.6.
