WASHINGTON, July 13 (Reuters) - The Pentagon's daily list of contract awards included the following for the Defense Department's TRICARE health care program:
* Awarding Aetna a $2.8 billion managed care contract with five one-year options for a total potential value of $16.7 billion. The contract is for the northern region of the United States.
* Awarding UnitedHealth a $3.7 billion managed care contract with five one-year options for a total potential value of $21.8 billion. The contract is for the southern region.
* Awarding not-for-profit Triwest Healthcare Alliance a $2.9 billion contract with five one-year options for total potential value of $17 billion. The contract is for the western region.
