Ford July sales up 2.3 pct
Ford Motor Co said on Monday that U.S. auto sales rose 2.3 percent in July, its first year-over-year monthly sales increase since November 2007, supported by the U.S. government 'Cash for Clunkers' program.
Ford, whose shares rose as much as 10.75 percent to the highest level since November 2007, said U.S. sales rose to 165,279 vehicles for all of its brands in July, from 161,530 vehicles a year earlier.

Comfort Systems falls after Goldman cut
Comfort Systems USA Inc shares dropped 7.3 percent to $10.92 on Monday after Goldman Sachs cut its rating on the stock and added the provider of heating, ventilation and air conditioning services to its Americas Sell list.
The firm lowered its rating on the company to 'sell' from 'neutral,' citing its leverage in the non-residential construction market, which Goldman believes is still in the early stages of decline.

Markets advance on optimism, commodities
U.S. stocks rose on Monday after data showed the manufacturing sector shrank at a slower pace in July, while rising commodity prices boosted natural resource stocks.
The sharp advance briefly pushed the broader S&P 500 Index to its highest level in nine months, above the psychologically important 1,000 level.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.8 percent to 9,245.30 while the S&P 500 gained 0.9 percent to 996.34 and the Nasdaq was up 0.7 percent to 1,991.48.

Oshkosh shares rally after delivery order
Oshkosh Corp shares jumped 11 percent to $30.47 on Monday after the company said it had received an additional $1.06 billion delivery order from the U.S. Army for 1,700 MRAP All Terrain Vehicles.
The order also calls for aftermarket parts packages to be supplied by April 2010 along with field service support.
The specialty truckmaker had received an initial order worth $1.05 billion on June 30.
