ISTANBUL, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Turkish charter airline Pegasus is preparing for an initial public offering in 2010, Chairman Ali Sabanci told Turkish television channel CNBC-E on Wednesday.
Pegasus operates a fleet of 15 aircraft flying domestic routes and to destinations in Germany, Austria, Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark and Israel.
It was bought in 2005 by ESAS Holding, controlled by Turkey's Sabanci family, with Ali Sabanci taking over as chairman.
The airline began in 1990 as a joint venture between Silkar Yatirim, Net Holding and Ireland's Air Lingus.
ESAS Holding also owns a 15.3 percent stake in German operator Air Berlin.
