Aug 25 (Reuters) - Thompson Creek Metals Co Inc said it expects to raise C$217 million ($200.2 million) in a bought-deal financing.
The company said it would sell 15.5 million shares to a syndicate of underwriters, led by UBS Securities, who will sell the shares to the public at C$14 apiece.
The company said it intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for development and expansion of existing mining assets, exploration activities, acquisitions, working capital and general corporate purposes.
The underwriters have an over-allotment option to buy an additional 2.33 million shares at the offering price. In case of over-allotment being exercised, gross proceeds would increase to C$250 million ($230.6 million), the company said.
The offering is scheduled to close on or about Sept. 16.
Shares of the Toronto-based company closed at C$14.99 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
