* A U.S. court rejected Schering-Plough Corp's bid to repatriate $690 million in offshore earnings without paying taxes
* A federal court in Newark denied Schering-Plough's request for $473 million
refund related to two transactions which yielded $690 million in profits it
repatriated from foreign subsidiaries
