WASHINGTON, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, who is heading the panel's negotiations on healthcare overhaul, said on Tuesday he was still hopeful a deal could be reached with Republicans.
After a meeting of the Senate's 'Gang of Six' negotiators -- three members from each party -- Baucus said he sought feedback by Wednesday on his proposal for sweeping insurance market changes, including a fee on insurers to help pay for coverage of the uninsured.
An agreement on a healthcare overhaul 'comes down to political will,' Baucus, a Democrat, told reporters.
