PARIS, Sept 26 (Reuters) - France's budget deficit will hit 8.2 percent of GDP in 2009, with the economy set to contract 2.25 percent, but there should be a rebound in 2010, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon was quoted as saying on Saturday.
Fillon told the newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche that he expected the economy would grow 0.75 percent in 2010, and predicted that the annualised growth rate would climb back to around 2 percent during the course of the year.
He added that the government, which is due to present its 2010 budget on Wednesday, expected unemployment to continue to climb in the first half of next year, albeit at a slower rate than in 2009.
