NEW YORK, Oct 4 (Reuters) - NetApp Inc's chief executive told Barron's in an interview that selling the data storage company might make sense at some point in the future.
'This is America and everything has its price,' Chief Executive Tom Georgens told the financial newspaper. 'At some point, it might make sense.'
The Barron's report noted that Georgens appears to be more warm to the idea of a buyout than his predecessor Chairman Daniel Warmenhoven.
Shares are trading for about 24 times expected earnings, suggesting that some investors are banking on an aquisition of the company, Barron's said.
