SYDNEY, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Australian stocks are set to open
higher on Monday following a rebound on Wall Street, with oil
prices gaining on firmer global oil demand, though miners may
struggle after declines in base metals prices and gold.
Stock index futures stood 0.7 percent higher at 4,777, a 30.1 point premium to the close on Friday in the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index.
New Zealand's benchmark NZX 50 index rose 0.6 percent to 3,180.4 in early trade.
