CAIRO, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Egypt's producer price index fell
6.7 percent in September from the previous year, based on index
figures released by Egypt's Central Agency for Public
Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) on its website.
It gave the following values for the producer price index, which is based on 100 in the financial year 2004/5:
Sept. 2009 152.4
Aug 2009 152.8
Sept 2008 163.3
The government started the new index in October 2007, replacing the old wholesale price index.
