HOUSTON, Dec 11 (Reuters) - A key Enbridge Inc oil pipeline flow from Canada to the United States was reduced by more than three-fourths on Thursday, a company hotline recording said Friday.
Flows on Line 3, which runs more than 1,000 miles (1,600 km) from Edmonton, Alberta, to Superior, Wisconsin, flowed 14,434 cubic meters (90,787 barrels) on Thursday versus 59,406 cubic meters on Wednesday, the message said.
A company spokeswoman said the reported drop in flow was due to the way volumes in the line are measured and not due to any operational problems.
'Line 3 ran as scheduled yesterday,' spokeswoman Jennifer Varey said. She cited large deliveries from the line upstream of the measurement point. 'If the flow doesn't reach that point, it will look lower than previous days,' she said.
Flows Friday were not yet available.
