SYDNEY, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Australia's Woodside Petroleum Ltd will raise A$2.5 billion ($2.28 billion) in an entitlement offer of one new share for every 12 held at A$42.10 per share, it said on Monday.
It said the money raised will prepare it for further expansion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production.
Its shares closed on Friday at A$47.18.
