MELBOURNE, Dec 14 (Reuters) - French insurer AXA SA has offered to pay most of the sweetened cash component of its joint bid with Australia's AMP Ltd for AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Ltd, a spokesman for AXA SA said on Monday.
AXA SA and AMP have raised the cash component of their cash and scrip offer to A$1.92 from A$1.38 a share.
Of the 54 cents increase, AXA SA will pay 44 cents a share, the spokesman said.
