WASHINGTON, Dec 21 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama nominated Theodore Tozer to be President of the Government National Mortgage Association, or Ginnie Mae, the White House said on Monday.
He would replace Joseph Murin, who resigned earlier this year as the head of an organization that pools loans backed by the Veterans Association and Federal Housing Administration and sells them as mortgage-backed securities, backed by a U.S. government guarantee.
