WASHINGTON, Jan 23 (Reuters) - A U.S. Senate vote to consider the nomination of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to serve a second term 'seems very likely' for next week, a Democratic aide said on Saturday.
Earlier, Democratic Banking Committee Chairman Senator Chris Dodd and Republican Senator Judd Gregg said after discussions with colleagues they were 'very confident' Bernanke would win the Senate's confirmation.
