WASHINGTON, Jan 30 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's administration will propose on Monday some 120 items that can be eliminated or changed in the fiscal 2011 budget to help save $20 billion this year, the White House said in a statement on Saturday.
The changes would include consolidating programs at the Department of Education and eliminating the 'Advanced Earned Income Tax Credit,' which the White House described as ineffective.
