Feb 11 (Reuters) - Network storage solutions provider Compellent Technologies Inc posted an adjusted quarterly profit that missed Street projections, hurt partly by a rise in expenses, sending its shares down 14 percent after the bell.
The company's fourth-quarter net income was about flat at $1.3 million, or 4 cents a share.
Excluding items, the company earned 7 cents per share.
Revenue rose 35 percent to $36.3 million.
Analysts on average were looking for earnings of 9 cents per share, on revenue of $35.5 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Operating expenses jumped 30 percent to $18.3 million.
Shares of the company were down 14 percent at $18.80 in trading after the bell. They closed at $21.77 Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange
