TOKYO, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Asian stocks are likely to dip on
Friday after weak U.S. employment and durable goods data added to
recent worries about the strength of the economic recovery, with
worries about Greece's debt crisis adding negativity.
Industrial and financial shares ranked among the biggest drags on the S&P 500 after January durable goods orders unexpectedly fell and weekly jobless claims jumped, feeding investor anxiety after poor consumer confidence and home sales data earlier this week..
Concerns about the debt loads of some euro zone countries were revived after rating agencies said they might downgrade Greece's sovereign debt rating, sending the yen higher against both the dollar and the euro.
Asian stocks listed on Wall Street edged down 0.7 percent, while MSCI's measure of Asia Pacific stocks excluding Japan fell 1.4 percent.
Commodities shares are likely to be hit after oil fell more than 2 percent on concerns about economic recovery and copper fell to its lowest price in almost two weeks.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei is likely to edge down after Nikkei futures traded in Chicago closed at 10,070, just slightly under the Osaka close.
Toyota Motor Corp will remain at the centre of attention in Tokyo on Friday as its massive recall woes continue. The Nikkei business daily reported that Toyota's output in North America in the February-April period will likely fall short of its original target by 20 percent.
Australian share price index futures edged up 0.2 percent to 4,586.
Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan will be closed for market holidays.
