SYDNEY, March 22 (Reuters) - Australian stocks are set to
open flat on Monday, with declines in the miners on weaker metals
prices likely to offset any gains spurred by the stronger U.S.
dollar for companies that have big offshore earnings.
A higher takeover offer expected for coal seam gas group Arrow Energy could help stem falls in the oil and gas sector.
Stock index futures slipped 0.4 percent to 4,873.0, roughly in line with the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index, after Wall Street finished weaker on Friday on fresh worries about Greece's debt woes.
New Zealand's benchmark NZX 50 index picked up ust 1.3 points to reach 3,231.7 in early trade.
