CITIGROUP INC
The bank has hired Paul Phillips, most recently managing director in the technology group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, to join its global technology, media and telecom team. He will report to Ben Druskin and Mark Simonian, global co-heads of TMT at Citi.
JPMORGAN
The investment banking arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co said David Harrison, former head of energy banking at UBS Securities Canada, will lead a new operation in Calgary, Alberta, the western city that is home to the bulk of the country's energy sector.
BREEDEN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
The activist investment firm has hired Joshua Fenton as senior managing director and director of research and trading, replacing Robert Fields, who left the firm last month. Fenton most recently was director of global equity research at Clay Finlay LLC, where he was a member of the investment committee.
MOELIS & CO
The boutique advisory firm hired John Grady, most recently a managing director and head of new business development at Athena Capital, as a senior adviser, based in Boston.
INTEGRO
The insurance broker and risk management firm hired Robert Easton from the New York State Department of Insurance, where he had served as deputy superintendent and general counsel since 2007. Easton, who will start at Integro on April 19, will report to William Costantini, the firm's general counsel and managing principal.
BARCLAYS CAPITAL
The investment bank has poached the co-head of Rothschild's investment banking division in the Middle East and North Africa to head the UK bank's regional financial institutions coverage, sources said.
DUBAI BANK
The Islamic bank has named Giel-Jan Van der Tol, formerly an executive with Tier One Capital in the Netherlands, as chief executive officer. Van der Tol replaces Salam al-Shaksy, who joined National Bank of Oman in January.
