* FTC issues 'second request'
* Monster still see deal closing in Q3
April 9 (Reuters) - Monster Worldwide Inc said the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has sought additional information regarding its acquisition of rival HotJobs from Yahoo.
The FTC issued what is often referred to as a 'second request' for the $225 million deal, Monster, which controls about a third of online jobs postings in the United States, said in a statement.
The company said it intends to respond expeditiously to this request and continues to cooperate with the FTC in connection with the review.
The FTC did not comment on the second request.
Monster still expects the transaction to close in the third quarter of 2010.
Monster shares closed at $15.69 Friday on the New York Stock Exchange.
