The real estate services and investment firm announced that Jeff Majewski has joined the company as executive managing director, Debt & Equity Finance. He was previously with CB Richard Ellis.
EVERCORE PARTNERS
The investment bank announced that Alejandro Reynoso del Valle, based in Mexico City, will be a senior managing director. He was previously with Barclays Global Investors.
LATHAM & WATKINS
The law firm announced that Dana Fleischman has joined its New York office as a partner in the corporate department.
COMMERZBANK
Commerzbank Corporates & Markets announced the hiring of Nikolaus Giesbert as new head of Fixed Income & Currency Sales. He was previously with Morgan Stanley.
BNY MELLON
BNY Mellon's wealth management division announced the hiring of Edgar Murcia to manage the company's private banking business for its West Coast markets. He was most recently with Citigroup Inc.
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND
The bank announced that Igor Yurgens has joined as senior advisor to Russia and CIS. He joined from Renaissance Capital Group.
LAZARD LTD
MBA Lazard, a Latin American investment banking group, announced it has opened a new financial advisory office in Bogota, Colombia. The firm has hired Colombian banker Mauricio Gomez as a director leading the effort.
STANDARD CHARTERED
The bank appointed Sean Wallace head of origination and client coverage with immediate effect. He was formerly the group head of corporate finance at the bank.
DEUTSCHE BANK
The firm appointed Kenneth Hon as a managing director and head of equity derivatives trading for Asia ex-Japan. Hon, who joins from Citigroup, will be based in Hong Kong. He is expected to report regionally to Phillip Lonergan, head of equity trading and risk, Asia ex-Japan and globally to Roger Naylor, global head of equity derivatives.
CITIGROUP
The company made several new appointments to expand its Asia Pacific Acquisition and Loans teams within its Capital Markets Origination (CMO) unit. Citigroup appointed Najeeb Haider as managing director in the acquisition finance team, Prosenjit Saha as director of loan syndicate and sales for South Asia and Cecilia Noronha, who was previously with BNP Paribas, as director of loan syndicate and sales for North Asia. All three are based in Hong Kong.
BLUEFIN ADVISORY SERVICES
The company's Bluefin Corporate Consulting unit hired Sean Glasgow as head of investments. Glasgow has previously worked in a variety of roles both in the UK and internationally, including positions at the Coca-Cola Co and Deloitte's Investment Advisory Services.
COUTTS & CO
The private UK banking arm of the Royal Bank of Scotland appointed Robert Woodthorpe Browne as client partner for its Reading office. Browne joins from BNP Paribas Fortis, where he was a senior private banker.
THROGMORTON
The provider of accountancy services to financial companies hired two tax industry practitioners. Raminder Chowdhary has joined as the firm's new head of VAT, while Stephen Smith has assumed the role of tax manager. Chowdhary joined from KPMG, while Smith joins from accountancy firm Mazars.
