NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) - BlackRock Inc Chief Executive Officer Laurence Fink took home $17.65 million in base pay and bonus in 2009, according to a recent regulatory filing.
Fink's base salary was $500,000, the same as in 2008. But the man at the head of the world's largest money management firm also took home a bonus of $17.1 million.
Fink's bonus consisted of $9 million in cash and $8.1 million in stock.
In 2008, he received a bonus of $11.3 million.
BlackRock announced Fink's compensation late Friday. On Monday, the money manager is scheduled to report first quarter earnings.
The Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S estimate is for the firm to earn $2.45 a share in the quarter.
