TORONTO, April 26 (Reuters) - Consumer confidence in Canada fell in April, highlighting the fragility of the economic recovery, according to a source who had seen a Conference Board of Canada report set for release on Tuesday.
The source said the report will show the board's consumer confidence index fell 7.8 points to 84.8 in April. The reading for March was revised to 92.6 from 92.5.
He added that the balance of opinion worsened on all four of the survey's questions.
The fall comes after the index rose modestly in March.
The latest survey is based on interviews conducted between April 8 and 19, the source said.
