Commerce Department releases March construction spending, 10 a.m. (1400 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast a drop of 0.3 percent compared with a 1.3 percent fall the prior month.
The Institute for Supply Management releases its April manufacturing index, 10 a.m. (1400 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey expect a reading of 60.0 versus 59.6 in March.
Dallas Fed issues March Trimmed Mean PCE Inflation Rate Index, no set time. In the previous month the index rose 0.4 percent.
U.S. automakers release April auto sales; no set time. Economists in a Reuters survey expect median annualized domestic sales of 4.20 million cars and 4.50 million trucks. In March, the figures were 4.27 million cars and 4.73 million trucks.
