TORONTO, June 26 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Saturday welcomed a trend in China on greater dependence on domestic demand as a source of economic growth.
'If you look at what China is doing, growth in China now is much more driven by consumption and domestic demand than it has been in the past,' Geithner told reporters as global leaders gathered in Canada for the start of the Group of 20 summit.
