BOGOTA, July 3 (Reuters) - Colombia's inflation rate was 0.11 percent in June versus a deflation of 0.06 percent in the same month last year, the government's DANE statistics agency said on Saturday.
A Reuters poll of analysts saw inflation at 0.09 percent for June, while an earlier central bank survey of economic observers expected consumer prices to hit 0.12 percent in Latin America's No. 4 oil producer.
The highest increases were 0.41 percent in housing, 0.35 percent in health and 0.18 percent in other expenses like alcoholic beverages and jewelry, the department said.
The country saw price drops in clothing, communications, food and entertainment, it said.
Consumer prices were 2.25 percent between July 2009 and June this year, the agency said. The central bank estimates annual inflation will be around 3 percent in 2010.
Colombia's economy grew 4.4 percent in the first quarter of 2010 versus a year ago in a stronger-than-expected expansion, driven by construction, mining, electricity, gas and water supplies, the statistics has said.
The Andean nation's economy has rebounded this year after falling due to the global economic crisis in 2009, and has upped its 2010 growth projection to 3 percent from a previous estimate of 2.5 percent.
