BANK OF AMERICA CORP
Bank of America appointed Rich Linton as head of business retirement solutions, to manage the unit that courts small business retirement plans. Linton previously worked as Fidelity's executive vice president of its adviser retirement group.
It also Steve Ulian as head of institutional retirement and benefits solutions, overseeing the company's proprietary 401(k) platform. Ulian worked as executive vice president in sales and relationship management for Fidelity's workplace investing group.
JEFFERIES
Jefferies said Amy Corinne Smith joined as co-head of Global CleanTech Investment Banking. She joins Jefferies from Barclays Capital, where she was most recently global co-head of Alternative Energy investment banking.
OPPENHEIMER & CO
Oppenheimer hired former UBS Wealth Management Americas manager Douglas Damrow to help expand its brokerage business in the Chicago area.
BARCLAYS CAPITAL
Barclays Capital said Michael Gapen joined the firm as senior U.S. economist and Antonio Garcia Pascual joined as chief Southern European economist. Gapen was earlier a section chief for the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors, responsible for monetary and financial market analysis. Pascual was earlier a senior economist at the monetary and capital markets department of the International Monetary Fund.
MIZUHO INTERNATIONAL
The London based securities and investment banking arm of the Mizuho Financial Group Inc said it made three appointments in its fixed income business.
Shu Yang joined as government rates trader and comes from Lehman Brothers.
Elliot Blair will join as a euro SSA trader from Incapital Europe.
James Godfrey will join as a credit trader from Daiwa Capital Markets.
JONES LANG LASALLE
The property services firm said it hired James Brown as its new head of EMEA Retail Research and Consultancy. Brown will join from Grosvenor, where he is the UK Director of Research.
It also promoted Bob Hunt to managing director, public institutions for the Pacific Northwest region. Hunt was senior vice president in the firm's brokerage division.
LLOYDS TSB CORPORATE MARKETS
The firm has appointed Paul Osment as director for leveraged credit sales. He will report to Martin Bates, head of capital markets sales.
Before joining Llyods TSB, Osment has worked with Evolution Securities and ABN AMRO, among other companies.
ERNST & YOUNG
The firm said it hired Dai Bedford and Keith MacDonald as partners to the Performance Improvement practice of Europe, Middle East, India and Africa Financial Services business.
Dai and Keith join from Capco.
