HOUSTON, July 11 (Reuters) - BP Plc was on track to start up a rig on Sunday evening that can siphon up to 25,000 barrels a day from the gushing Gulf of Mexico leak, a BP executive said.
Kent Wells, senior vice president of exploration and production, told reporters on Sunday that the Helix Producer rig had gone through necessary procedures before siphoning could begin.
