WASHINGTON, July 12 (Reuters) - Emcore Corp was barred on Monday from importing some fiber optic devices by a U.S. trade panel which had previously found they infringe a patent owned by Avago Technologies.
In May, the U.S. International Trade Commission affirmed a ruling by one of its internal judges that Emcore violated patented technology for fiber optic data transmission owned by Avago.
Avago had said in its complaint that Emcore's 12-channel parallel optical transmitter and receiver modules were made with infringing technology, as were Emcore's 4-channel parallel transceiver modules.
