HONG KONG, July 16 (Reuters) - Joerg Alting, Mizuho Corporate Bank's head of international acquisition finance for Asia-Pacific, will relocate to the bank's London office next week, said Alting in an email sent to Basis Point.
He will focus on sponsor coverage for German-speaking European clients, as well as origination of corporate acquisition finance on a global basis.
Alting has been in Asia for about two years, after spending seven years in the bank's London office.
Mizuho was prioritising Asia lending, and had made substantial capital available for the region, Alting said.
He said the bank had also renewed its commitment to acquisition financing and leveraged buyouts in the region, a move strongly backed by senior management.
Andrew Tremain, head of origination in Sydney, Australia, will assume responsibility for the entire region, excluding Japan. Rupert Manduke-Curtis will continue to be responsible for Asian origination based in Hong Kong.
