WHAT: Mexico May economic activity
WHEN: Tuesday, July 27, 9 a.m. (1400 GMT)
REUTERS FORECAST: Median +7.95 pct y/y May vs +7.24 pct y/y April. Fourteen clients participated in the survey and the range was +6.1 pct and +9.0 pct.
FACTORS TO WATCH: Mexico is slowly recovering from a deep recession but cracks are showing in its factory-led rebound, which is seen giving the central bank more room to leave interest rates low into next year.
Analysts expect economic output jumped in May compared to April, which would show how far the country has come from a year earlier. At the same time, with a slowdown evident in manufacturing, the seasonally adjusted reading could give a better idea of the health of the overall economy.
