WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (Reuters) - BAE Systems Tactical Vehicle LP, a unit of BAE Systems Plc, has won a $629 million U.S. Navy order for work on Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles, the Defense Department said Friday.
The deal, for safety and sustainability upgrades, is being carried out under a previously awarded contract, the Pentagon said in its daily contract digest.
Work will be performed in Kuwait (90 percent) and Texarkana, Texas (10 percent), and is expected to be completed by the end of December 2011, it said.
