STOCKHOLM, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Sweden's Social Democrat-led opposition leader conceded defeat in an election on Sunday and said it was up to Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt to build a majority government.
'The (centre-right) Alliance is in all probability the largest minority,' Mona Sahlin told party supporters. 'They are in the driver's seat when it comes to building a government. We lost.'
Sweden's ruling coalition government beat the opposition, preliminary results showed, but lacked an outright majority after a far right party won its first seats.
